so I have decided to change my site.....(by Lee Dixon, published Tuesday, 04 May 2010 21:06)
In today's way of doing things on the web, all things are going more social and a bit more throw away, so I have decided to change my site and use all the social site's and link them altogether.
Site's like Facebook, Google Buzz, Picassa and Last.fm are all free and alot easier to quickly put a post up. In the past I have had to post things in different places and I really don't have the time anymore, so once is enough.
This site was never really used by many people to leave comments, although we did have a quite a few visits in a day. Anyone who still has links to old posts can still view them for a while, but my aim is to post once on my blogs and from there they go to all the other site that I am a member of, thats the theory anyway.

So how does this works? I can post pictures, text, video or links to things into one of my blogs (blogger-family or blogger-tech:n:stuff, and it will go to google buzz and facebook on its own! Also pictures I upload to my picasa site will go to google buzz and facebook, and video's on youtube go to buzz and facebook. I can also post posts when we are out and about or on holiday, no need to wait anymore!!!!

Toybox(by Lee Dixon, published Wednesday, 21 April 2010 20:15)
Well when I do have five mins spare I have found this free little gem that runs on the desktop and is great fun
With an intuitive and tactile feel, the easy to pick up and play style will allow kids to be enjoying themselves within seconds. Souptoys is also perfect for busy parents who want to play together with children who are too young to use a mouse but are delighted to see a stuntman flying through a basketball hoop.

Civ V(by Lee Dixon, published Wednesday, 10 March 2010 13:23)
Oh yes, my fav game of all time is getting a new version in about 7 months. Civilizaation V is on its way, god I have spent a lot on time over the years playing the other versions of this game.
"Civilization was never the most realistic game, and those who enjoyed battling against a nuclear-armed Gandhi have not minded. The next one, Civilization V, though may be the most natural one thanks to some crafty tweaks.
Kotaku was shown an early version of development studio Firaxis' Civ V running on a PC on the first day of Game Developers Conference here in San Francisco. What was shown was a Civ that behaves just a little more like it is in the real world in regards to everything from terrain to the rules of war and international relations. All have been modified to feel more true to life and more rife than ever with strategic potential.
The game is still a turn-based single or multiplayer quest requiring ample brainpower and planning. Like other Civilization games, the player goal is to lead one tribe from the founding of a city to a position of global leadership, via military or peaceful means.
The most obvious difference is the look of Civ V's terrain. As can be seen in screenshots it, looks more like real Earth. A representative of the studio showing the game said this new Civ's worlds might look pre-rendered but are still, true to the series, randomly generated. An optional overlaid grid shows that the world is indeed divided into hexagons, a first for the series, which used to chop things up by squares.
